Baggage

Baggage Allowance
Each passenger is entitled to a checked baggage allowance of up to 20 kg. This also applies to children. We recommend that individual items do not exceed a weight of 32 kg.

Excess Baggage Fees
If baggage exceeds the permitted allowance, additional charges will apply.

Carry-on Baggage
For safety and comfort, only one piece of carry-on baggage per person is permitted in the cabin. This must not exceed a weight of 6 kg (or 8 kg for laptops) and the dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm.
It is advised to carry valuables, medications, perishable, or fragile items in your carry-on baggage. Please refer to your booking confirmation for details on liability limitations.

Excess Baggage Rates
The maximum baggage weight allowed is indicated on your flight ticket. Exceeding this limit qualifies as excess baggage and is subject to additional fees. Charges are based on either weight or the number of pieces, depending on the applicable tariff structure.

Baggage Damage and Loss
Most lost baggage is located within the first 24 hours. In rare cases, if baggage is not found within five days, the Lost & Found Office initiates a more detailed search process. Should your baggage not be located within 5 days, or if you have questions regarding lost items, please contact our Baggage Services in Bern.
